In this blog, I'll be writing majorly about my journey as a Children Book Illustrator. Occasionally sharing my plein air painting practice and sketchbook ideas to finished illustration process.

Why this, why now…

Well, I have always been a visual person. But there is so much I go through in my mind while creating an illustration or sketching ideas or plein air painting, putting them in words has been very difficult so far. I recently found out, not everyone is a visual person who gets what I am trying to convey through my artworks and writing about it gives an idea on lot of behind the scenes and process. It will be definitely a good practice for me to note down as keeping in an online journal as well as help me curate my vision being an artist.

This will be definitely helping out to fellow illustrators and artists but also to those who are my friends and relatives and my online followers. I am not just starting a newsletter, when you subscribe you’ll be getting a lot of industry insights + Life experiences of a children book illustrator in UK - sharing my inspirations, thoughts, work in progress, challenges, solutions & tips from the projects I work on.

For now, I’ll be posting bi-weekly and you can expect some occasional posts about my sketchbooks and new discoveries as an artist as i go through experimental artistic phase along with creating portfolio pieces of illustrations for children books.
