Hi Gunja 🥰, I enjoyed watching this so much! It was very calm and soothing watching you work, and I learnt a lot too! I was so happy to see the final art - it is perfectly your style and very beautiful as always!

I haven't worked with only soft pastels before. When I try new materials, I get very impatient when the colours look flat at the beginning! I give up easily if I can't work out how to add more depth and texture. This video really helped me to understand that you need to be patient and give everything a little bit of time!

I have a question for you. What will you do when the pastels become a bit more blunt and don't have a sharp edge? Is there a way to make the edge sharp again for small details?

Can't wait for next week 😊🥰

Hi Abinaya, I'm so happy to read your comment. Thank you for appreciating my skills and watching entire recorded session, it really means a lot. Answer to your question: It actually breaks in pieces, the soft pastels I'm using are like square sticks so whenever it breaks it becomes either a small stick or a cube with the sharp edge so I use that as I'm using the big stick. However I have heard some very good brands like Sennelier and Schmincke with very vibrant colours which comes in round shape and are too soft for application. I'm sure there is a special sharpener out there for them. They are still on my dream art supply list! 🤪🤞🏽 But for now I have concluded that I'll go ahead and invest in at least some soft pastel pencils this upcoming Black Friday Deals or Christmas Deals! 😜 Very excited for tomorrow's live!
