and many more…Thank you very much.It was fun trying my hands on these Soft Pastels for Colour Keys. Let’s dive into Take Aways:
Warm colour paper for warm feeling and Cold colour paper for cold/cozy feeling was the best thing to get the best results.
Giving 10-15 mins each was helpful on moving forward and practicing decision making skills.
DO NOT spray fixative spray before scanning them, as results may change after! Have a look below!
Thank God, I scanned it before putting fixative spray! ;P
Lightbulb Moment:
The exploration stage is where curiosity meets possibility—it's the space where ideas are born, tested, and transformed.
I went little extra mile today and created 2 colour palettes in procreate using my original scans, so I can create a finished illustration with them later in next week.
Please try this Colour Key exploration with soft pastels for your illustration work or you can use any other medium for example INKS, I have tried them on my “Colourful Inktober” series in YouTube couple of years ago and I must say it is very satisfying process to figure out what works and what doesn’t with your goal to achieve in a final illustration.
